A literacy partnership founded on October 19, 2016. 

 

Each school year we send a mission team of adult volunteers to read with struggling students in grades K-2. By the end of the year the children do all of the reading themselves to the adults! We also help beginning readers practice reciting their sight words. They love the extra attention and we love getting to see their confidence grow!

 

The school’s reading teacher selects the vocabulary cards and the books. She also assigns the students to the readers and sets the weekly meeting schedule. Currently, we meet at the school on Wednesdays from 9:00am to 9:40am, late September through the middle of May.
