Beliefs

What do you believe?

  • The Bible is the inspired word of God.
  • God exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God(the second Person of the Trinity), and the Messiah promised in the Old Testament. He existed with the Father for eternity before being born.
  • Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died for the sins of all humanity, rose from the dead, is now with the Father, and will return one day to gather those who have accepted him.
  • People are separated from God by sin, but if anyone repents of their sin and asks Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of their life, God will forgive him and establish an eternal relationship with him.
  • Jesus Christ established the church as a fellowship of believers in Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit for spiritual growth and for the mission of sharing the love of God through Christ to everyone.
    For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17
Why is Jesus so important?
 
Because He is the heart of the most important fact in history. God not only decided to come down to Earth to be born as a man, to suffer like us and be tempted like us, but He also decided to die a humiliating and very painful death for our benefit. We, not Jesus, deserve to die for our sins, but now we don't have to because He's done it for us. We've done nothing to earn that, He did it out of nothing more than His love for us.
 
Jesus is the greatest source of love. When anyone else loves you, it's always conditional. At the very least, it's conditional on that person being alive. Jesus loves you eternally, and He is always there. Because of Him, in fact, it is possible for us to be reunited with those we love here in Heaven. Jesus is also the greatest source of knowledge. He is the way, the truth, and the light.
